How the document reached the FDIS ballot

The table is the ISO life-cycle record, in order. The two publication rows carry no date on the public record, so this page does not invent one.

03The date

Why the planning date is 16 February 2027

The FDIS ballot opened on 26 August 2026 for eight weeks, so it closes on 21 October 2026. Publication follows the ballot count, the secretariat's proof and the ISO publication queue. ISO has announced no date. We use 16 February 2027, 120 days from the record date of 19 October 2026, as a planning date and label it everywhere as our estimate.

That is a planning device, not a promise. If the ballot returns comments, the date moves. If publication runs long, the date moves. The change watch exists because the date is the one fact most likely to move.

Do not put this date in a contract as an ISO date. It is our arithmetic. The official record is the only source for the stage, and it currently shows no publication date.
04What is not public

The body, the clauses and the annex

The ISO page does not publish the FDIS body. This site therefore cannot state a clause number, a clause heading, an Annex A control or a quotation. It does not. What it states instead is the held oversight control set from ISO/IEC 42001:2023, ISO/IEC 42005:2025, the EU AI Act and NIST AI RMF 1.0, each cited to the clause it came from.

When the published edition appears, the register is re-baselined against it. Kit buyers receive the reissued files at no extra charge, and the watch sends the stage change.
